RAMzine 30: Dee Snider, PhoxJaw
Mention the name Dee Snider and most would immediately think of Twisted Sister and his make-up, snarling visage belting out one of the rock anthems of the 80s, ‘You Can’t Stop Rock ’n’ Roll’. This issue features an interview with Snider as he talks about his fifth solo album Leave A Scar, an album about standing up for what you believe in. We discuss several tracks on the album, cancel culture and current cultural trends.
This issue also features a catch up with Bristol’s Phoxjaw who have been tearing up the South West’s stages and beyond with their powerfully cataclysmic brand of riffs and eerily melodic atmospherics, steadily building a strong and loyal fanbase along the way.
We take a look back at a lost yet very strong rock album by Desperado made up of Dee Snider, Clive Burr, Bernie Torme and Marc Russell. We discuss the phenomenon of “Tribute to…” albums and we (of course) talk about the return of Download and Bloodstock! And finally check out our review pages featuring lot's of great new music!
